In today’s modern and quite chaotic traffic, a high degree of importance is placed upon GPS/GSM systems intended for monitoring the movement of vehicles and their technical quality states. It is also highly important and profitable for people to effectively manage their own vehicle fleet.
The system uses GPS (Global Positioning System) to determine the position and speed of movement of each vehicle.The data is then transferred to the server using GSM/GPRS service provided by the mobile operators. GPS global vehicle positioning system operates on the basis of receiving and processing signals from 24 satellites that orbit the Earth.
Based on all the data collected, the GPS receiver module calculates the current GPS position, current speed and orientation of the module together with the current time. The MX46 module, which is placed in a vehicle, besides collecting the data received from GPS satellites, also collects and stores sensor readings and other relevant information from the vehicle. After that, the data is sent to the onGPS server via GSM/GPRS.
